Episode 1180 Air Date: April 23, 1971 Mister Rogers arrives with a newspaper which he has been reading. After talking about how the newspaper often some very difficult topics, he sings Some Things I Don't Understand. Mr. McFeely stops by with his pet turtle, Sam, which Mister Rogers takes out and shows to viewers. While Mr. McFeely continues with his deliveries, Mister Rogers agrees to watch Sam. Speeding off in a hurry as usual, Mr. McFeely leaves his hat behind. In the kitchen, Mister Rogers looks at the turtle in a little more details before trying to make a hat out of newspaper. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Grandpere is planning a party for Collette and and asks Lady Abelin to distribute party hats among the others in the Neighborhood. Still feeling jealous of Collette, Henrietta refuses to go. Realizing that Grandpere has a special job for her, however, she changes her mind. Fulfilling her duty, Henrietta happily agrees to introduce Collette to everyone else in the Neighborhood. Back at the house, Mister Rogers sings I Like to Take My Time before Mr. McFeely returns for his turtle and his hat. Mister Rogers' son Jamie stops by on his way home from school and demonstrates how to make a hat out of newspaper. NotesJamie stops by his father's television house to join him on his way home: "Dad, I was a little late coming home from school and I was wondering if I could walk home with you."
