Misterogers (CBC, 3/12/1964)
Network: Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
Air Date: March 12, 1964
Mister Rogers is excited that there is only one day left until King Friday's birthday. He draws several shapes and decorates them with designs and colors -- an abstract Neighborhood of Make-Believe, of sorts.
In Make-Believe, it is nighttime and Mr. Anybody -- an artist -- wants to paint by startlight, but has forgotten his paint. After finding the Museum-Go-Round closed for the night, and finding that Corney has only chair paint, Mr. Anybody seeks help at the clock from Daniel Striped Tiger. They admire the night sky and sing Find a Star before Daniel encourages Mr. Anybody to wish for the paint. It happens that Daniel has just the paint he needs. Mr. Anybody continues his painting for King Friday's birthday which includes a "well wish and a want" under each letter and allows King Friday to wish Mr. Anybody to be anyone he wants. Meanwhile, X the Owl is practicing for his role in This is Your Knight. Before taking his painting to the castle, Mr. Anybody shows Daniel an alarm clock that looks like a sad face on the back.
Back at the house, Mister Rogers concludes for the day in anticipation of King Friday's birthday!
