Chrysanthemum

Once there was a skinny cow who love to eat the flowers
She passed up grass and hay to munch geraniums for hours
And she'd moo moo moo

The other cows made fun of her, Chrysanthemum they named her
Her appetite for flowers was such that it ashamed her
So she'd moo moo moo

Chrysanthemum Chrysanthemum
Now don't be glum and blue
Some day you'll come, Chrysanthemum
To a garden just for you

The farmer's wife was furious, she'd look at Chrys and glower
For Chrys ate every bud and leaf and every blooming flower
And she'd moo moo moo

The farmer's wife said, "Sell that cow! She's skinny and she's silly.
I'll fix her if she even smells a tulip or a lilly"
Chrys would moo moo moo

The farmer worried over Chrys, she seemed to get much thinner
"Try now, dear cow," he'd say. "Here's hay. Please have a little dinner."
But she'd moo moo moo

The farmer planned his garden well, he planted seed for hours
A plot for grass and hay and wheat a special patch for flowers
Chrys would moo moo moo

At last the seed grew tall and green and soon it could be eaten
The farmer led Chrys to the patch and said, "Chrys we're not beaten
This plot is yours, just look around" and it was so amazing
Forsythias and marigolds and pansies and geraniums petunias and violets were growing...
Chrysanthemum how crazy

Now don't be glum and blue
At last you've come, Chrysanthemum
To a garden just for you
