Misterogers (CBC, 12/17/1963)

Network: Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
Air Date: December 17, 1963

Mister Rogers is wearing doctors equipment and talks about visiting a doctor's office. He shows the stethoscope he is wearing and uses it to listen to the Neighborhood Trolley.

In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Donna Miller sings Today is New as she approaches the Frogg Pond where she helps Dr. Frogg display a sign advertising his veterinary services. Plans are moving forward as the Frogg family plans to move to Make-Believe later in the week. Daniel Striped Tiger informs Dr. Frogg that no lease will need to be signed and no rent will be paid for their occupancy of the pond: "This pond was a gift to us so we're glad to share it with the Frogg family!" Daniel goes on to sing I'm Very Grateful. As thanks for Daniel's generosity, Dr. Frogg offers to see him at no cost any time he needs a check-up.

Ms. Miller sings Afternoon as she moves on to the tree where she finds X the Owl and Henrietta Pussycat discussing the alphabet. They share their collection of alphabet cards and imagine what objects some of the letters resemble. Ms. Miller compares the letter Y to a stethoscope as they share their excitement for the Frogg family's move to Make-Believe. Agreeing that the Froggs will need to be shown a lot of love when they arrive, X and Henrietta listen as Ms. Miller sings Love is People.

X the Owl shares a jar of rhubarb preserves with Ms. Miller who plans to enjoy the gift at the castle with King Friday XIII.

Notes

When he tries to listen to the Trolley, Mister Rogers forgets to place the stethoscope in his ears.

King Friday is seen at the castle during the credits along with Donna Miller as they prepare a snack with the rhubarb preserves.
