Episode 1648Topic: Imaginary Friends Mister Rogers arrives with an umbrella which he talks about in anticipation of a videotape about an umbrella factory that Mr. McFeely will be delivering. Looking at all of its parts, Mister Rogers mentions that it is important to be careful when using an umbrella. As promised, Mr. McFeely stops by with the video about people who make umbrellas. After the film, Mr. McFeely mentions that he has umbrellas to deliver to Tome Cousin who has made up an umbrella dance. It's raining in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe and Neighbor Aber is interested in a special sale at the factory where Corney has manufactured Umbrella Rockits. While Corney fetches an Umbrella Rockit, Neighbor Aber sings It's Raining in the Neighborhood. Sitting in the chair, Neighbor Aber is very pleased and puts in an order for two chairs -- one for Mayor Maggie and one for himself. As the sun comes out, Corney suggests that the umbrella can be used to shield the sun just as it can be used in the rain. Relaxing in the chair, Neighbor Aber begins to imagine himself floating in the clouds with Mayor Maggie as they rock in their Umbrella Rockits and sing It's Raining in the Neighborhood. Henrietta Pussycat brings Neighbor Aber back to reality and shares that she was able to use X's Imaginary Viewer to see what Neighbor Aber was imagining. Back at the house, Mister Rogers talks about no one can really know what another person is thinking without that person actually sharing their thoughts. Tome Cousin invites Mister Rogers to the his dance studio where Mr. Cousin demonstrates his umbrella dance. NotesTo protect it from the rain, the Trolley makes its initial pass through the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, fully equipped with an umbrella. Mister Rogers opens an umbrella indoors, depsite the fact that he mentions in Episode 1445 that this is not a good idea. Appearing In This Episode
