THE NEIGHBORHOOD ARCHIVE - All Things Mister Rogers | ||
An Endless StaircaseDate: 1974 DescriptionPretend you're walking up these steps. Keep going. You could keep giong forever, couldn't you, and you wouldn't get any higher? Turn aruond and go down the steps. You could go down forever, too, and not get any lower. But there couldn't really be a staircase like this. No one could build one, because it's not real; it's the kind of tricky picture called an optical illusion. Real staircases all begin and end somewhere, so you can always get where you want to go. © 1974 Small World Enterprises, Inc. |
