Mister Rogers arrives with a wooden egg which he takes to the kitchen where he reveals its contents -- smaller eggs each inside the one larger. Placing the smallest egg inside one of the larger shells, he moves them around for viewers to guess where it might be. Mister Rogers sings You Are Special before leaving to visit the McFeely's.

At the McFeely home, Mrs. McFeely is outside moving plants from smaller to larger pots. After demonstrating the transplanting process, she mentions that she and Mr. McFeely will be looking after some ducklings if Mister Rogers would like to return later. She gives Mister Rogers a videotape about ducklings hatching to take with him.

Returning to the house, Mister Rogers watches the tape about ducklings.

In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Neighbor Aber is at the castle where he explains to Queen Sara that Lady Elaine is planning to open Purple Panda's package if she can get her hands on it. Before leaving, Neighbor Aber sings It's the Style to Wear a Smile.

Robert Troll takes Neighbor Aber to the Museum-Go-Round where Lady Elaine has set up a collection of Package Catchers (P.C.'s) in an attempt to capture the mysterious package. Surprisingly, her P.C.'s work perfectly as the package is quickly caught just before Purple Panda arrives. Placing the package on the wall, everyone watches as the package opens itself to reveal a purple light flashing in a "1-4-3" pattern.

Back at the house, Mister Rogers sings Many Ways to Say I Love You before returning to the McFeely's where Mr. McFeely has arrived with the eight-day-old ducklings. Mister Rogers helps the McFeely's feed the ducklings before returning to his house to conclude for the week.

Notes

Lady Elaine refers to her Package Catchers as P.C.'s. Earlier in the week, in Episodes 1697, she refers to Purple Panda as a P.C. -- a Pleasant Creature.

As Mister Rogers arrives at the McFeely's for the second time, the Speedy Delivery song plays in the background.

Along with the ducklings, Mister Rogers sees the McFeely's pet duck, Diesel.
