Mister Rogers arrives with a model version of an old-fashioned bed. He strings twine through the pegs on the bed to show how this kind of bed supports a mattress. As he works, Mister Rogers sings I Like To Take My Time. He then shows a film about how mattresses are made as well as a Funny Fast Film of Betty Aberlin making a bed. He also spends a few moments discussing what it means to be a performing artist.

In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Aberlin is soliciting contributions for the King Friday Queen Sara Saturday Royal Foundation for the Performing Arts (KFQSSRFFTPA) and asks Lady Elaine Fairchilde if she might have a spare bed where visiting artists might sleep. Lady Elaine refuses to make any contributions until she knows what King Friday will be giving. Questioning King Friday's dedication to the KFQSSRFFTPA, Lady Elaine does her best to discourage others from making contributions of their own.

Back at the house, Mister Rogers takes a hammock from his closet and hangs it on the porch. Laying in the hammock, he compares it to a baby's cradle and then sings When a Baby Comes To Your House. Mr. McFeely stops by and tries out the hammock for himself.
