Daniel Tiger and his family have plans for dinner at the Neighborhood restaurant with Katerina Kittycat and Henrietta Pussycat. When the trolley is not immediately available, Daniel Tiger must be reminded that "when you wait you can play, sing, or imagine anything." Daniel and his parents play a pretending game while they wait.

At the restaurant, Prince Tuesday shows everyone to their seats where he works as a waiter. After placing their orders, everyone waits as their food is prepared. Daniel Tiger and Katerina Kittycat are reminded that "when you wait you can play, sing, or imagine anything." They decide to play a game of "what's missing" while they wait for their food.

Daniel Tiger make-believes that the table settings can play and talk.

The food is served as Daniel and Katerina sing about doing fun things while waiting.
