Daniel Tiger and his dad are on the way to the Neighborhood library to borrow the new Tigey the Adventure Tiger book. On the way, they have to visit Dr. Plat so she can check a tooth she recently fixed for Dad Tiger. Despite his excitement for the new book, Daniel has to wait with his dad when they arrive at Dr. Plat's office. Dad Tiger reminds Daniel that "when you wait, you can play, sing, or imagine anything." Daniel and his dad pass the time with a game of I-spy.

In the examination room, Daniel has to wait again while Dr. Plat looks at Dad Tiger's tooth. Remembering his dad's suggestion, Daniel make-believes that he's dancing with his toy dinosaur.

At the library, Daniel finds a long line of his friends waiting to borrow the new book. Daniel offers his dad's advice to Jodi who is having a hard time waiting in line. While they wait, they pretend to be on an adventure with Tigey the Adventure Tiger.

With the new book in hand, Daniel and his dad read the book together in a comfortable corner of the library.
