Daniel and his friends are playing outside at school and Daniel is pretending to be a slow turtle swimming in the sea. Teacher Harriet allows Daniel to use her box with handles as a turtle shell. Prince Wednesday decides to be a silly fast clown fish and Katerina Kittycat a squiggly wiggly octopus. They begin to play loudly which bothers Daniel. Teacher Harriet reminds Katerina and Wednesday that sometimes they need to play the gentle way.
Daniel make-believes that he is a really slow turtle.
Inside the school, everyone takes care of their own classroom jobs. Daniel and Miss Elaina are the bunny helpers. Snowball the bunny does not seem interested in eating and Miss Elaina thinks it may be because Daniel and Miss Elaina are being too loud. Moving gently and quietly around Snowball, they find that the bunny does want to eat. Moving slowly with his water bowl also allows them to keep from spilling the water.
