Daniel Tiger is playing Super Daniel with Grandpere who is babysitting while Mom Tiger and Dad Tiger are gone for an overnight trip. Sad that his parents are gone, Daniel loses interest in playing until Grandpere encourages him to think of something happy -- Tigey.
Daniel takes Tigey with him to school and places him in his cubby where he is close by, but still safely out of the way.
Helping Miss Elaina pretend to take care of animals, Daniel make-believes that he's taking care of real pets. As they play, Daniel gets knocked down and becomes upset. He remembers what Grandpere told him and finds a way to feel better by holding Tigey.
O the Owl and Katerina Kittycat are checking to see if objects sink or float but Daniel cannot see the water table. He wants to hold Tigey again but becomes more upset when he cannot find his stuffie. Teacher Harriet offers him a hug to help him feel better until Tigey is found.
