Daniel Tiger is celebrating Thank You Day -- a day to thank everyone you love. He helps his mom and dad make fruit salad before Grandpere Tiger arrives for a visit. Grandpere brings Daniel a sailor's hat and is promptly thanked by Daniel.

With Grandpere only around for a short visit, Daniel is eager to spend as much time with him as possible. Outside they spend some time playing sailor as Daniel make-believes that he is sailing on the real ocean.

Daniel is disappointed when he realizes that Grandpere cannot stay long enough to go to the Thank You Day celebration. Grandpere cheers him up by laying back on the grass and finding shapes in the clouds.

Everyone leaves for the Thank You Day party in the enchanted garden as Grandpere leaves to work on his boat. In the enchanted garden, Daniel and his parents are greeted by King Friday who thanks them for the fruit salad. Together everyone marvels at the thank you tree full of thank you notes.

Daniel is happy when Grandpere finishes his work early and is able to join them at the party.
