The Children's Corner: Episode 4113Broadcast Date: Undetermined Josie welcomes viewers with a lengthy introduction of Daniel Striped Tiger who is hosting seventeen of his closest tiger friends for a "regular hamburger party." X the Owl appears at the clock bu treturns to his knot hole when he finds out that Josie was trying to find him there. After Josie fixes X's feathers, he boldly asks for a kiss on his head. X shares that he plans to spend the rest of his day visiting others around the Children's Corner. During the Doodle N Do segment, Miss Pat (Pat Hamilton) shares a project in which she uses cloth and cardboard with crayon and buttons to make a picture of flowers in a vase. Josie calls for an appointment to see King Friday XIII and learns that the king is just finishing a meeting in which he is planning next month. By the time she reaches the Calendarland castle, the meeting has ended. King Friday suggests that a very nice month lies ahead -- except maybe the 9th which he mentions has always been "quite flipipant." At Josie's request, King Friday recites "Scintillate Scintillate Diminutive Stellar Orb" (Twinkle Twinkle Little Star). Together they sing Row Row Row Your Boat and Propel Propel Propel Your Craft. Their musicial timing is slightly off but Josie optimistically suggests that "every cloud has a silver lining." King Friday agrees in his own way: "Each mass of vapory collections suspended in the firmament has an interior decoration of metallic hue." After departing the castle, Josie spends some peaceful time singing Goodnight God. Daniel Striped Tiger mentions that Grandpere may be returning from Paris next week and Josie concludes for the day with the So Long Song. Screenshots
