Description

Children often wonder what it will be like going to school, for the very first time or at the beginning of a new school year. Mister Rogers helps children know that at school there are many caring teachers who want to help them learn.

In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Ana Platypus, Daniel Tiger and Prince Tuesday attend their first day of school. They discover that their teacher really cares about them. Meanwhile, their parents find that they miss their children as much as the children miss them. When they're together again, children and parents can share their feelings as they talk about what happened during their day.

School is a place for growing, playing and learning. Learning may take time and patience, but there can be many good feelings along the way.

This episode of MISTER ROGERS' NEIGHBORHOOD features:

  • A ride on a real school bus
  • A brand new school for the Neighborhood of Make-Believe
  • The songs, "There's So Much to Choose" & "I'm Proud of You"

Mister Rogers' universal message of love and self-esteem has brought joy and education to children around the world for more than 25 years. CBS/FOX Video / Time-Life Video is proud to bring some of the best episodes of MISTER ROGERS' NEIGHBORHOOD into your home.
