Pittsburgh Pirates

On August 17, 2019, the Pittsburgh Pirates held a fan promotion for those in attendance to see the afternoon's game versus the Chicago Cubs. The first 20,000 fans to arrive at PNC Park received a Pittsburgh Pirates cardigan sweater compliments of PNC Bank.

This promotion, clearly based on Mister Rogers and his iconic sweaters, was endorsed by several Pirates players wearing either a sweater of their own or a "Beautiful Day" t-shirt -- one of the many great designs from Steel City.

Between innings, the trailer for A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood was played on the stadium's video board.

The Cubs won the game and Pittsburgh fans reacted accordingly.

On Wednesday, September 2, 2020, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Derek Holland took the mound at PNC Park facing off against the Chicago Cubs. Paying tribute to a local hero, Holland wore custom Neighborhood cleats designed by Jordan Custom Kicks.

The Cubs won the game, 8-2.
