Well, I'm very glad to know that Fred Rogers' music is still remembered! i just found out that there is a new CD by saxophonist John Ellis that will feature some of Fred Rogers' music. The recording will be released on May 15th, so we don't have to wait too long. The album will feature some of the finest Jazz musicians such as Aaron Goldberg and Mike Moreno, so we can expect good jazz renditons on this recording.

Here's the link to ordering the CD:

http://www.amazon.com/Its-You-Like-John-Ellis/dp/B007GNMIK4/ref=pd_sim_sbs_m_4

Let's spread word out for this CD and let's hope that it gets good recognition as well.

Hi there,

If you can't wait until you order/recieve the new John Ellis CD,
you can listen to some samples from the album here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/recsradio/radio/B007GNMIK4/ref=pd_krex_dp_a

Ths is a nice recording that really pays tribute to both Johnny Costa and
Fred Rogers's music.

I cannot wait for my own CD!

I'm so glad i discovered this CD! It's an excellently done Jazz CD, paying tribute to Fred Rogers and Johnny Costa. I strongly recommend it for people who remember Johnny Costa' Jazz playing. The final song. Won't you be my Neighbor, will not be so reginisable at first. That one will require you to listen carefully. It's there, but to some people it might be hard to follow as it is free Jazz being played. But, I enjoyed listening to the CD and am so glad that Jazz musicans are now regonizing Fred's music as a part of the Jazz idiom and can be played in fun ways within Jazz!
