Daniel Tiger is playing outside at Miss Elaina's house. Music Man Stan finds the kite he used to fly when he was a boy. Taking the kite into the yard, they are able to fly the kite in the fall breeze. The wind carries the kite into a bed of flowers and damages the old toy. Music Man Stan encourages Daniel and Miss Elaina to tell someone when an accident happens.
With the kite beyond repair, Music Man Stan tells the children than some accidents cannot be fixed...but...they can make a new kite! Using some of the pieces from the old kite, Daniel and Miss Elaina make a new kite designed with a fish. Daniel make-believes that he can swim in the sky.
Back outside, Music Man Stan accidentally steps in X the Owl's flowers while helping to fly the kite. X the Owl understands that accidents happen and works together with Music Man Stan to clear away the damaged flowers to make room for new ones.
