Daniel Tiger is finishing up a day at school and can hardly contain his excitement as it's his turn to take the class pet, Snowball, home for the night. When he bumps his leg on Snowball's cage, Teacher Harriet helps and reminds him: "Taking care of you makes me happy, too."

Katerina Kittycat and O the Owl are pretending to care for their toy animals and Daniel takes the opportunity to practice caring for a bunny rabbit.

At home, Daniel starts by giving Snowball some water to drink and make-believing that he is visiting Snowball in his bunny home.

When Prince Wednesday invites Daniel over to play, Daniel remembers his responsibilities and decides to stay home with Snowball instead. He invites Prince Wednesday to stay and help. Working together, the friends clean Snowball's cage and brush his fur before playing and having a snack with their classroom pet.
