Daniel Tiger is leaving for school with his dad on a chilly morning. With the advice of Dad Tiger -- peek-a-boo, pull it through -- Daniel is encouraged to button his own coat. Having trouble, Daniel is reminded to keep trying in order to get better.
At school, Daniel is greeted by Teacher Harriet and O the Owl who is building a tower with blocks. O is frustrated when his tower tumbles and is encouraged by Teacher Harriet to keep trying and he'll get better. Looking in a book about building, O learns that big blocks should go on the bottom of his tower and is able to use this new knowledge to build a taller tower. Daniel make-believes that he is a construction worker making a real building.
O's tower continues to fall as he builds but continues to receive encouragement from Daniel and Teacher Harriet. With continued practice he is able to build a steady tower.
When it comes time to go outside to play, Katerina Kittycat has trouble buttoning her coat and is encouraged by Daniel to keep trying.
