Daniel is ready for breakfast and has to chose between cold cereal and hot oatmeal. His mom encourages him to stop, think, and then choose before he finally decides on the hot oatmeal.

Daniel and his family take the Trolley to the park where many have gathered for a royal announcement by King Friday. The King gives the children a choice between a new swingset or a new slide for the playground. After they stop, think, and choose, the children cast their votes. As he decides on his preference, Daniel make-believes that he is swinging and sliding. Stepping into the voting booth, Dad Tiger helps Daniel cast his vote.

Queen Sara counts the votes and declares that the swingset received the most votes. Disappointed by the outcome of the vote, Daniel and Katerina quickly change their tune when Mr. McFeely and Prince Tuesday deliver the new swingset and all of the children swing together.
