Bob Dog has the bounciest ball in Someplace Else -- Sir Bounce-A-Lot -- and shares it with Donkey Hodie and Purple Panda. As they try to see who can launch the ball the farthest, the ball ends up in Spooky Shadow Swamp. Donkey tries to muster the courage to retrieve the ball among the spooky-ooky shadows. She is encouraged by Purple Panda to remember times in the past when she might have needed to show bravery.

Approaching the ball, Donkey is scared again but each time remembers another experience when she was brave. Together, she and Purple Panda retrieve the ball. They find that the "spooky creature" they feared was only an opossum looking for a snack. They invite their new opossum friend to join them as they play ball.
