THE NEIGHBORHOOD ARCHIVE - All Things Mister Rogers

WQED Program Guide (1954), Part 2

Yesterday I shared the first of three scans taken from 1954 WQED station program guides that I received through my recent correspondence with Mr. Norbert Nathanson -- former WQED volunteer art director. Take a look at the second of these images which includes more from the Children's Corner.

In addition to Mr. Nathanson's wonderful illustrations of Lady Elaine Fairchilde and King Friday XIII, I think the highlight from this image comes in the description of King Friday when it mentions his mother -- Queen Monday. As far as I can recall, this is the first reference I've seen to King Friday's mother where she is mentioned by name.

One more Children Only scan coming soon!
