Five Years and a Holiday Break

In just a few days -- on Christmas Eve, actually -- it will be five years since I sat down at my computer and opened the doors to the Neighborhood Archive with a four paragraph blog post. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that this collection of "all things Mister Rogers" would evolve into the massive resource and community that it has! For this, I cannot thank you enough.

Over the past five years, we have had the chance to see glimpses of Neighborhood episodes that haven't been viewed in years and taken a first-hand look at many of the original pieces from the Make-Believe set. We've heard from people involved directly with the program and from others strongly influenced by the Neighborhood. We've dug up pieces of memorabilia that many never knew existed and come together as a community with a deep appreciation for the message of Fred Rogers.

Friends and neighbors, what started as a simple hobby has become such a joy to maintain and share with each and every one of you. I cannot thank you enough for your continued support of and regular visits to the Neighborhood Archive!

So after five years of regular updates to the Archive, I'm taking a short break to relax and enjoy the holidays with my family. My very best to all of you this holiday season!

See you in the new year!
