Neighborhood Archive Notes (12/14/2013)

It's a snowy day in my neighborhood so I thought I'd take the opportunity to share a handful of smaller updates that have recently been made to the Archive.

Hallmark Stickers

I had seen these stickers from 1991 several times online but sellers were always asking ridiculously high prices for a simple sheet of stickers. Finally, I came across an eBay seller offering single sheets for a reasonable amount. These were orginally sold in packages of four sheets so I'm still on the look-out for an unopened package.

Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood Friends Stickers

Earlier this month, I placed an order for a few items through the Fred Rogers Company's online store (amazingly enough, my order number was #143). When my package arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find four or five sheets of these stickers included in addition to a few Peg + Cat rulers. My kids loved them!

Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood Friends Cup

Several months ago, a cup very similar to this one was sold through the FRC site featuring the Daniel Tiger logo on both sides -- it may still be available. A new cup is now out there featuring Daniel and his Neighborhood friends. If you're looking for a fun stocking stuffer for your little one, this would be a great idea for only a couple of bucks.

Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Posters

Since I was placing an order with the FRC site anyway, I went ahead and added the two posters they have available as well. The first one is the one that can be seen in the background of a Seinfeld episode.

Snowflake Day MP3 Release

Just yesterday, the music from the recent Daniel Tiger episode Snowflake Day was released for download. It's five fun songs for a snowy day like today, but quite honestly, probably not worth the price. You wind up paying four or five bucks for about six total minutes of music.

I've also recently picked up a great replica model of the Fredosaurus Rex Friday XIII dinosaur statue that once stood outside the WQED building. I'd like to wait and share more about this model along with some details about the actual more on that in the near future.

Happy (snowy) Saturday, neighbors!
